Boys Lacrosse 2008
Welcome to The Home of ![]() Thank you to everyone, players, coaches, SLPL Board members, team managers, field helpers, and school officials for making the '08 season of lacrosse a success. Remember wins and losses are just one way to measure success. You also measure success by how far you come in building your progam. In our first season as Varsity / JV program in the MBSLA we accomplished a lot. We did more than hold our own against new and developing programs like ourselves going 3-1 against Holy Family, Sibley, and 2 games (one at Excel) against Forest Lake. Our only loss against these teams was in overtime. Our JV Team posted a 5-5 record for the regular season playing against a lot of established programs. These are all things to be proud of. No doubt we took some lumps when we played the more experienced developed teams but in doing so we saw a great deal of what it takes to put together a successful lacrosse program from established programs. We've seen the skill and team work and support these teams have to make them successful. Thats where we want to go. That's the future of our program. It takes heart, determination, team work and great support from those behind the scenes to get it done. We are confident that if the players keep up the hard work, work on their game skills in the offseason (play summer, fall, and winter lacrosse and attend a camp or two) we will be back better and more able to compete in '09. We've come a long way in just two years and you can all be proud of that but keep in mind the journey is just beginning.
