Intra-District Transfers
Resident students of Spring Lake Park Schools may apply to attend a school that is outside their elementary school's attendance boundaries, yet still within the school district through what is called an Intra-District Transfer. Intra-District Transfers are approved on a space-available basis. For more information, contact us at enrollment@district16.org or 763-785-5508. Applications are accepted year-round, however the priority consideration application deadline for fall enrollment is generally February 1 of each year.

Enrollment Options Program
If you are not a resident of our Blaine-Spring Lake Park-Fridley community, we welcome your interest in our exceptional schools.  To indicate your interest, simply complete the
Enrollment Options Program form below.  Acceptance may be limited in some cases to grades and schools where additional enrollment would exceed established guidelines.

If you have any questions, we encourage you to contact Joanne Lattery: enrollment@district16.org or 763-785-5508.

All applications are thoroughly reviewed and decisions are communicated to families as soon as possible.
Applications for incoming students received prior to February 1 will receive notice of the status of their application to Spring Lake Park Schools by the first week in March. Applications received after February 1 will be notified of their status within four weeks.

We're always proud to show off our schools!  Students, parents, and families are always welcome to visit and tour their new schools.

To visit, check with the school office to schedule an appointment. We will be happy to meet with you and give you a true sense of what makes each school special.

Who can receive transportation?
By law, the District is required to offer free transportation to resident students who live two miles or more from school.  The inefficiencies of busing students outside our district prevent us from offering this service to non-residents.  However, if a student's daycare provider is within the school's attendance area, free transportation is available if the daycare provide is located two miles or more from school but still within the district.
