1. Attention Power Up students: Thursday Power Up begins today! All students enrolled in Thursday Power Up should report to the Media Center immediately after school. 2. Do you want to tell someone that they are special on Valentine’s Day? Order them a singing candy-gram! Encore will be taking orders during lunch periods the rest of this week. You will fill out your valentine card and it will be delivered during school with a song and a sucker on Valentine's Day. The cost is $1.00. Remember, all notes in cards must be school appropriate, and you may not send cards anonymously or sign someone else's signature. Have some fun on Valentine’s Day! Order your singingcandy-gram today! 3. The Dungeons and Dragons Club meets today after school in Mr. Kretchmar’s room. 4. Art Club will meet in Mrs. Fahey's Room 162 after school today. 5. 7th graders, Sarah Sachse and LaKeisha Barnes both figured out the three questions for Kindness month, Is it Kind, Is it True, Is it Necessary? Congratulations! Come to the Counseling office to pick up your prize. 6. Another month has gone by and tomorrow is the first Friday we are having classes so that means it’s another university shirt day! Dig out that college shirt to wear tomorrow. Are you thinking about someplace warm at this time of the year? Maybe you would like to continue your education in a warm state such as Florida or California? Or do you love snow skiing and winter so much that you prefer to keep the ground covered with white snow? On Friday, open your eyes to staff wearing college shirts and search for the teachers and the schools that are farthest away from WMS here in Blaine, MN. Far from MN you will find a shirt from a university in one of our 50 states and another one from across an ocean. Those will be the answers to the monthly college search........just wait until Friday! 7. The following students have a book on hold in the Media Center that is ready for pick up:Rafay Hasan, Kelvin Kuria, Emily Althoff, Catherine Ha and John Carlson. 8. 8th grade Drumline will meet today after school from 3:00-4:00 pm. |
