About Us
Dear Families,
Welcome to Westwood Intermediate School. We serve fourth and fifth grade students in the Spring Lake Park School District and are located in Blaine, Minnesota. Approximately 670 students attend Westwood from the surrounding communities of Blaine, Spring Lake Park, and Fridley. Westwood Intermediate School is a supportive community that is focused on working together to ensure our students’ academic, social, and emotional growth to achieve the Spring Lake Park Essential Learning Outcomes. Our school offers each student a high quality education with opportunities in many academic areas. To meet the needs of our students we put forward programs such as Gifted and Talented Cluster classrooms, Basic Skills programs, and student support services. We also have specialist teachers in the areas of physical education, music, art, and media. We have an active PTO and volunteer program at Westwood. The PTO meets monthly and sponsors many social activities for our community to participate in and provides for many enrichment academic activities for our students. Parent volunteers are welcome and instrumental in assisting students, teachers, and other staff members in creating successful educational opportunities for each student at Westwood.
